Join three avid cyclist riding the 62 mile route of the Katie Ride for Life, a major springtime cycling event held in Amelia Island, Florida, north of Jacksonville on the Florida-Georgia border.
The ride starts in Fort Clinch State Park under a canopy of Spanish Moss covered Live Oak trees. It proceeds south across Amelia Island through the exclusive neighborhoods of The Plantation. Crossing Nassau Sound to Little Talbot Island, and then crossing Fort George Inlet, the ride turns at Fort George Island State Park and takes a northerly route along several beach areas of Amelia Island. It’s a gorgeous low country ride with numerous coastal and beach views!
With it’s flat terrain and consistent level of intensity, Epic Amelia Island is an ideal Endurance training ride for building your aerobic base.
As an extra incentive, a percentage of the profits from Epic Amelia Island will go to the Katie Ride for Life, organization to further it’s mission of organ donor education.
Includes our “Just the Ride” menu option which gives indoor trainers, coaches and instructors a choice of 60 minute and 45 minute versions of the ride to fit their training or class requirements (DVD only).
